Non Veg recipes with easy method of cooking

FRIED SHEEP LIVER




Ingredients:

500 Gms. Black sheep liver, cut into cubed pieces

2 ½ tbs. oil

1 large onion powder

2 tsb. Chilli powder

½ tsp. turmeric powder

1 ½ tsp. salt

1 tsp. fennel seeds, powdered

1 tsp. chopped coriander leaves


Method:

1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add sliced inions and fry stirring for a minute.

2. Add the liver pieces which are rubbed with chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.

3. Stir the liver, toss & fry till it turns brown.

4. Sprinkle powdered fennel, chopped coriander leaves and stir well for 2 minutes.

Serve as a side dish.

FRIED MUTTON PEPPER CHOPS




Ingredients:

¼ kg. Mutton chops

½ tsp. turmeric powder

½ tsp. cumin powder

1 ½ tsp. pepper powder

1 tsp. garlic ginger paste

Whole spices: 1 sticks cinnamon

2 cardamoms and 2 cloves

1 ¼ tsp. salt and ¾ cup water

2 tbs. oil

1 medium sized onion, sliced

1 tsp. lime juice


Method:

1. Put mutton chops in a pressure cooker.

2. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, garlic ginger paste, whole spices, salt and water, cook for 7 minutes.

3. Open the cooker.

4. Heat oil in a kadai. Add sliced onions, fry for a minute till light brown.

5. Add the cooked chops, keep stirring and frying till light brown.

6. Squeeze 1 tsp. lime juice, stir well for a minute.

Serve hot as a side dish for rice.

FRIED MUTTON KEEMA & PEAS




Ingredients:

¼ kg. Mutton keema

To cook peas:

¼ kg. Fresh peas, peeled

½ tsp. salt

¼ cup water

To cook karma:

1/3 cup water.

2 tsp. chilli powder

½ tsp. tumeric powder

1 tsp. salt

To fry keema:

2 tbs. oil

1 medium sized onion, chopped

1 small tomato, chopped


Method:

1. Cook peas with ½ tsp. salt in ¼ cup water. Keep aside.

2. Cook raw mutton keema in a pressure cooker with 1/3 cup water, chilli powder, turmeric powder and 1 tsp. salt for 5 minutes till al the water evaporates. Keep aside.

3. Heat 2 tbs. oil in a kadai. Add chopped onions and fry for a minute till light brown.

4. Add chopped tomatoes and fry till soft.

5. Then add cooked keema. Fry, stirring, till light brown.

6. Lastly, add the cooked peas and stir well for 2 minutes.

Serve hot with rice, parattas, chapattis or puris.

FRIED MUTTON



Ingredients:

¼ kg. mutton pieces, washed

½ cup water

2 tsp. chilli powder

½ tsp. cumin powder

½ tsp. tumeric powder

1 ½ tsp. salt

2 tbs. oil

1 medium sized onion, sliced


Method:

1. In a pressure cooker, add washed raw mutton pieces, ½ cup water, chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt.

2. Close cooker and cook meat for 7 minutes till all the water evaporates.

3. Keep aside.

4. Heat 2 tbs. oil in a kadai. Add sliced onions and fry fro a minute till light brown.

5. Add the cooked meat to it, stir and fry for 5 minutes till mutton turns brown.

6. Serve hot.

Goes well as a side dish with rice.

EGG COATED MUTTON



Ingredients:

¼ kg. Mutton chops

1 ½ tsp. chilli powder

1 tsp. cumin powder

½ tsp. Turmeric powder

1 ¼ tsp. salt

½ cup water

1 raw egg

A pinch of salt

A few springs of coriander leaves, chopped

4 tbs. oil


Method:

1. Put washed mutton chops in a pressure cooker with chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, 1 ¼ tsp. salt and ½ cup water. Stir well.

2. Pressure cooks the chops for 5 minutes.

3. Open the pressure cooker. If there is any water left, Leave cooker open and continue heating till all water evaporates.

4. Cool the chops.

5. Take the raw egg in a bowl or dish. Add a pinch of slat and chopped coriander leaves and whisk the egg mixture for a minute.

6. Heat a tawa with 4 tbs. oil.

7. Dip each chop in egg mixture and shallow fry. Let one side brown, then turn the chop over and brown the other side.

8. Drain the oil. Serve the chops while hot.

Goes well as a side dish with rice.

DUM MUTTON




Ingredients:

¼ kg. Mutton pieces

2 tbs. oil

Whole spices: 1 sticks cinnamon,

2 cardamoms

2 cloves

3 red chillies, chopped

1 medium sized onion, sliced

5 flakes garlic, crushed

1 inch piece of ginger, crushed

1 tsp. chilli powder

½ tsp. turmeric powder

1 ½ tsp. salt

¾ cup water


Method:

1. Heat 2 tbs. oil in a pressure cooker. Add whole spices and red chillies and fry till brown.

2. Add chopped onions and fry for a minute till light brown.

3. Add crushed garlic and ginger, fry for a minute.

4. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and mutton pieces. Stir well.

5. Add salt and water. Close the pressure cooker and cook on pressure for 7 minutes.

6. Open cooker. Stir well and cook till gravy becomes thick.

Goes well with rice and rotis.
